I recently took a trip to Akron, OH and visited a few sites along the old EL ROW. I took a few photos and would be intereseted in action shots of the EL along that now abandoned ROW. (Around the Brittain Rd. crossing)

Does anyone know of sites or photo collections that would help me?

Ok... Can someone give me any sites of possible interest along that old EL mainline in the Akron area?

    Hi Heracles,

Thank Lady Sunshine for telling me about your post.

I'm no expert on the old E-L but I do live in Ohio. I did a Google search on Erie-Lackawanna. Here is the link: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=erie%2Dlackawanna

It has about 8,000 possibilities. Not all of them will be helpful but they should keep you occupied and off the streets for a day or two. :D

    Toottoot,

How about contacting a local Historical Society in Akron?
Either one for the county or one for the City of Akron. Must be one and someone who can help. Or even call a local hobby shop.
There's a big railroad themed hotel in the old Quaker Oats Factory and elevators in Akron. Maybe someone there is a buff.

Hey, doesn't EL have a historical society?
