Gotta be on a motorcycle again. West from his home, sounds like once again headed across the Mississippi River.
Wingnut friends could mean the gathering of aviation folks at Oshkosh Wisconsin for the EAA Fly in.....
We have a winner for stop#1 BoxcabE50 Now let's see who will win stop #2 Madison was just a day trip. Returned home then over night at a cousin house watching plains fly over. Where? Mr Train using Taptalk
Like staed previous, sounds like OshKosh, WI. Been to a Fly In there many years ago. Quite interesting.
Rockford is to far west. I know there are a lot of sub's but it adds to the fun. This one gave up land to build on.
Was tempted to think Meigs Field, Chicago. But, I was NOT aware that Meigs Field no longer exists, as an airport! Otherwise, I have no idea! b
Keith you will have to drive west through the suburbs find one nestled in between toll roads͵ runways and my favorite railroad
Now, it kind of sounds like Chicago O'Hare Int'l. Surrounded by the Jane Addams and Tri State Tollways. As well as several railroads in the area. Those I came across include: CSX UP CP A quick look at this point, since I woke up briefly. Now, I'm headed BACK to sleep for a while.
Oh my you missed my favorite line goes right thru the village along with metro trains backing up traffic but I can rail fan!
...village... Hmmm. I've never been there, but seems like the Chicago area is surrounded by such settlements. Yikes.
Or are we at Chicago Midway Int'l Airport instead? With the CTA Metra Subway, Orange Line and yard, right at the immediate eastern side of the airport. Right next to the Midway Shuttle drop off point And just north of the Belt Railway of Chicago, consisting of the following railroads: Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation Canadian National Canadian Pacific Railway CSX Transportation Norfolk Southern Corporation Union Pacific
Randy your on my trail we took the I 88 into the city then turned north at the end. When we're there we hop on the train to ride down to the windy.
