A GP 35 leading a mainline freight!! D&RGW demoted the 35 fleet to B-unit status when FRA required toilets and other appliances in lead-qualified units in 1974. As such, photos of GP35s leading are very rare. Another killer catch--a GP30 leading the RGZ? That's gotta be rare. Freight units such as the 4-axle hot rods (GP40s) scarcely pinch-hit for the F's when they were unavailable for maintenance.
and also note the tail end fluted car on the right, that had been converted in a regualr car with a passageway protuding from the tail....
