Jürg, Here are some photos of the PennZee passenger cars. John img/http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showphoto.php/photo/8550/cat/793/img
OK, there has got to be an easier way to post photos to TrainBoard. TrainBoard needs an "attachment clip" like email programs. Someone teach me. I just tried attaching a photo from my RailImage album and nothing attached. Help (with simple computer illiterate instructions please) I don't get the thing. John
you type (no spaces between the elements) and this forum does support attachments ... when you post there is an option at the bottom to manage attachments
John, I think you didn't do the last step in uploading railimage. After you uploaded the pictures, you have to congfirm the upload, otherwise it doesn't upload into your folder. Your folder doesn't have any pictures.
John - What/which folder? Gordon - That is what I typed img/http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showphoto.php/photo/8550/cat/793/img So why didn't it take? John
1. an image ends in .jpg .gif .png .tif you are attemting to link a URL as if it were an image. if you are using a mac, right click the image (or control-click) and then select copy image address. if you are using a PC, view the properties of the image (right click the image and select properties) ... in that you should see the url of the image ... copy that url 2. you did not type what I said because you did not include the [ and ] around the the brackets are what define the openning and closing tags. The browser then interprets what it sees between the two tags and displays it as an image BTW ... if I go to the URL you provided I get a request for a password saying that the page I am trying to access is restricted.
here is a rundown of the tags you can use in a message posting: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/misc.php?do=bbcode
Thanks everyone. After six tries I figured it out. Jurg, Here are the PennZee passenger car photos. John
I won the combine one off of Epay awhile back and am going to put the 3 axle trucks from the Z-Track Magazine heavy-duty transformer car on it.

I know that it would be a difficult ask, but what about some more American steamers, perhaps someone could make a basic configuration of a class of steamer with an option list of add ons to conform to the different RR's requirements. As an example make a basic boiler and drive wheel assembly with options for cab size and shape as well as different options for tenders, that way the basic unit ( boiler and drive wheels )could be made in bulk and hence cheaper and the different options could be made from injection moulded plastic so the final assembly could be done by the purchaser or for a fee by the maker. Does that sound feasible or even practicable to everyone or anyone out there in Z land?
considering the number of steamers that Marklin makes ... i don't see why not ... although they would probably be the better company to make them as I cannot imagine that Steam engines are easy to engineer in 1:220 ...
