:( :( :(   has anyone had to take up the Woodland Scenics inclines, after they've been glued down with Woodland Scenics Foam Tack glue? I just glued them on my styrofoam layout, and I thought everything was perfect, but now I see it's not, and I have to remove them.

Never used this product, but I imagine that you will be cutting the incline pcs off with a hack saw or something like that. I dont think anything is going to disolve the glue, Its not waterbased is it?..............Mike

yes, it is water-based, and the inclines are glued to a styrofoam surface. [IMG]

AHHH, Try soaking the seams with water. Lay some water soaked rags along the joint and see if that loosens things up.
    Oh BTW welcome to Trainboard...Mike

I used the Woodland Scenics 1/2" risers in a hidden portion of my layout to .... shall we say... compensate for a benchwork detail I didnt plan out very well.

The product was an EXCELLENT solution in my specific instance. I glued the foam down to plywood using a hot glue gun. It is there until the end of time.

However, I dont know if I could build an entire layout of foam. I see the stuff as a tool and not the medium of choice for layout building.

But then again... depends on your needs, space, and comfort level working w/ various materials.

But... in any event... try sawing cleanly through the joint to remove whatever offending peice you have. Then clean up the joint and reglue with a hotmelt gluegun. Unless you go all the way down to wood superstructure, you may have to shim, etc to get the foundation smooth and level again at the point where you made the saw cut.

thanx, but I've already taken it up, using your suggestion, with the WS foam knife. In case anyone else has this problem, it worked pretty god, but not perfect. Ther's some dents, etc. in the styrofoam. :( :( :(
