Was visiting my old Frisco stomping grounds this last weekend (Mounds/Sapulpa, OK) and had earlier commented to my grandmother how Amtrak needs service to Tulsa because I'm sick of stuffing myself in a 8 cubic foot box for three hours (aka seating area on a Southwest Airlines 737) Never saw passenger equipment on those rails but sure wouldn't mind taking the train instead...

Then as we were headed to dinner in Sapulpa, my sister noted a train up in the distance - I had to double take because it was passenger equipment! As it was quickly disappearing behind the trees I was scanning for markings and of course didn't see anything as it was getting dark. On the end was an observation coach, preceeded by three or four passenger coaches that I could see, at least one was the size of those superliner cars. Couldn't see markings other than grey so I'm guessing it was a work train of some sort?? Anybody have any ideas??

I know, probably a topic for the BNSF forum but I thought I'd share with my Frisco brethren first... [IMG]
