I do not know quite where to start this thread. Have been working on restoration of genuine historical railroad artifacts. At present we are working on a semaphore, lower quadrant, US&S, style "B". Has anyone else worked on restoration of a semaphore? We have the mast apart, all the mechanical parts functioning. Next is to get the motor/ mechanism to operate. Prints, schematics would be helpful.

Passumpsic6, welcome to Trainboard. I live all the way across the country from you, but happen to know the guy (only via internet) who is probably the country's current expert on semaphores. He still maintains a few operating ones. I am using "quick reply" so don't know if the link will show. He is Rick Perry, "Xingman" on the net, signal maintainer for CORP in Oregon.

A word of warning about the US&S Style B signal mechanism. DO NOT put your arm in between the frame where the two operating arms are. If the magnetic latch slips you will have one nasty broken arm. Sorry I don't believe I have any plans or specs for these as the B&M removed the last one in the late 50s or early 60s. Rick Perry should be able to help as his CORP was a former SP line and was all Style B signals. They started replacing them with color lights in the 80s.
