    As you know the 2009 Workington model railway exhibition was washed away with the worst flooding Cumbria in England had seen in centuries.This was then followed by the worst winter weather we have had in ages with snow and ice a major problem. there are still some bridges out (and will be for some time) but I am pleased to add the following notice from the show organisers

    Following the horrendous floods in West Cumbria during November 2009 the Workington Transport Heritage Trust have decided to re-arrange their exhibition, that had to be cancelled with only 24 hours notice, as a result of the major transport and travel disruption. We will still have our normal event in November 2010 but felt it was only right that we should support the efforts that are being made to bring normality back to West Cumbria. The details are as follows: -

    Refreshments available. Free parking. Full disabled access. Regular bus service from town and railway station.
