    Canada: Ontario Northland has signed a C$8·7m contract to refurbish 24 coaches for Montréal’s AMT. China: SKF has won a SKR20m order to supply China Railway Materials Commercial Corp with bearings for 160 km/h coaches. Germany: Frankfurt operator VGF has ordered 10 more Type S low-floor trams from Bombardier; six are an option on a previous order. DB Regio has awarded Alstom, CAF and Stadler framework agreements enabling it to place firm orders for regional EMUs when required. On November 2 LNVG announced a €120m order for 28 Alstom Coradia Lint 54 DMUs which will be used on Dieselnetz Südost-Niedersachsen services from December 2014. India: On October 20 BEML rolled out what it says are the first EMU and 100 tonne wagon to be built for IR with stainless steel bodies. In co-operation with US firm NREC, IR’s Patiala workshop is to build two WDM2-based genset locomotives incorporating three Cummins QSK800 engines. Central Railway’s Kurduvadi workshop is building two six-car rakes of modern coaches for the 610 mm gauge Matheran Hill Railway. They will offer reclining seats, mobile phone charging points and fans in first class. Kazakhstan: EBRD is providing Kaztemirtrans with a loan to support the acquisition of 38 petroleum tank wagons. Namibia: TransNamib has ordered 100 wagons from China’s Shenzhen Sunray group for N$48m. Poland: On November 8 Arriva signed an order for four Pesa 218Mc (SA133) two-car DMUs to be delivered by the end of 2012 for use in Kujawsko-Pomorskie. The deal includes two years of maintenance.
