Got this off of Yahoo News:

NEW YORK (AP) - In another sign that the city is getting back on its feet, the World Trade Center station of the E subway line reopened Monday for the first time since Sept. 11.

Passenger Ivan Querdala said the restored service would help his routine return to normal, though life in lower Manhattan still felt strange.

``When you go down there and see that,'' he said, jerking his head toward the World Trade Center site, ``You get a different sense.''

The station was not damaged Sept. 11 but was closed as part of the ``frozen zone'' during the recovery effort, New York City Transit President Lawrence Reuter said.

The E train, which travels from lower Manhattan into Queens, had been stopping several blocks north of the trade center since Sept. 11. Plans are under way to change the station's name, the transit agency said.

Luis Montalvo said returning to the station that had been his normal stop until four months ago felt like a small step forward.

``No doubt about it, it's getting back to normal,'' he said.
