As much as I would love to see these models in Z, they will not be correct if they have the dynamic brake blister on them.
I would like to see more cabeese, perhaps an old school inter model flatcar with trailer, outside braced boxcars, the old short gondola, and yes 3 or 4 bay coal hoppers.

    My dreams:
    Locomotives: GE U-Boats
Cars: I don't know exactly what, as more and more becomes available. Coil cars?
    Track system: non roadbedded turnouts.

    Alaska Caboose would be nice!

    Joe--

My list is small. I would like to see an Alaska Caboose to match the new Alaska F7s.

Perhaps MTL could do a service & convert the Marklin models with MTL trucks & couplers??

I forgot to add anything REA, RPO and Baggage car related. You would see strings of these on night trains and on the head end of passenger trains.

Glenn, you mean take off the märklin adaptive coupler out by pulling out the bolster pin and lifting the truck off ?

For some models you also need to have a new bolster closer to the end of the car with a new frame. Then you apply the new MTL truck & coupler. The kits sold by the Zealatory are what I'm talking about. There may be other models like the boxcars where one could swap frames & carbodies with some filing. The Zealatory kits need MTL trucks/couplers to finish the job.

There may be enough older Marklin rolling stock around to keep selling kit for many years! The main idea is to have more conversion kits to make the Marklin models look & work much better.

The conversion project would also include the older Kadee MicroTrains product that used Marklin couplers. The conversion process should be a lot easier!

With the conversion truck frames on the F units, it would be cool for MTL to tool some Alco style trucks. Make the GP35/9 look like an Alco trade-in unit!
