I don't think I would pay $31 for pine trees either. But just for my info, what should 100 pine trees go for?

hmm...that's actually pretty cheap for 100 n scale trees.

Let's look at this, Woodland scenics has a pack of 5 pre-made 2.5" pine tress for 7.98 now times that by 20 and you see that's $159.6, so you see $31 is a steal.

Walthers list a pack of 20 at $12.99, again $31 is a steal.

The bidders must have followed your logic.
The problem is these are not WS trees , they are Heki.
BLW has the exact same item for $13.95

If this item being bid, is the Heki #309 Mini-forest (of pine trees), $31 is waaaaay overboard! MSRP for that item, is only $19.95!!! N discounters sell it for even less!

    [IMG]

Claudio, Personally I think the "Architrees" that you posted the link to are the best value going in N scale trees. While they are not as super detailed and realistic as some of the really expensive trees out there, they are far superior to the Heki mini forest trees. (You can doctor up the Heki trees with a little ground foam flocking to take away the "plastic" look, but the Architrees are useable as is)
Just make sure you don't try and out-bid someone for them. This guy has them on eBay all the time, so just be patient and you can get them most of the time for his starting price.

    Nelson-

Does he have a web site? Am curious as to his other offerings in N scale. My forest needs to have north west US coastal trees: Douglas fir, western red cedar, alder, blue spruce, Rocky Mountain maple, broadleaf maple, hemlock etc....

Hmm. Wouldn't mind a few apple trees....

    :D

It just goes to show that you need to research and know the going price before you enter any bid on Ebay

Ken, He used to have an independent site, but he seems to have let it go by the wayside and now uses the eBay "Stores" system. If you go to the link Claudio posted you can then click on the "Visit My Store" link. One warning though, his shipping can be a little slow. Not bad, but has taken 2 weeks before. I think he saves up and ships all his orders at once, so it just depends on how close to his shipping day he gets your order.

This stuff happens all of the time on eBay...

Like P.T. Barnum said: " There's a sucker born every day!"

Yes, some people don't know how or where to find said items, and some people just want something really bad and now!
