    Hello All,
I'm new to Trainboard, but have been an on-and-off rail modeler since the Frary-Hayden Elk River Line. I went to MSTS for some time, but found it less satisfying than physical modeling. At 62, I'm thinking smaller these days, and if I can finish the tiny, portable 8"x72" transition-era switching layout shown, I'll try another, maybe a modern themed one. I'm a definite switching layout fan. I hope it's OK that I've attached a pic. That's my trusty Walthers SW-1 testing the layout. It was inspired by the Nick Palette sector plate layout in the May 1999 MR. It's a lot more fun than you might think at first glance.

    Best Regards to All,
    smyers

Welcome aboard! I'm a big fan of switching layouts, too. :)
