As I first posted under the steamers thread a few WEEKS back, Rivarossi's current importer will no longer be their future importer! The Current Importer has sent out emails stating they will no longer be selling Rivarossi trains after March 31. They have no word on what Rivarossi has planned for future releases, but we do.

The advantage of being a trainboard member is that you knew about all this about 2 weeks ago because it was posted on the board.

Stay tuned as I have now established a contact deep within Kato! The big boss from Japan visited KatoUSA this past week because of the recent problems with the Kato circuit boards. I thought I was the only one with this problem. Kato is going to try and "Beef" up the circuit boards for future releases from what I am told. "Japanese powerpacks produce a lower voltage than US ones and don't blow out the circuit boards, but our high powered ones are knocking them out left and right" (Kato quote).

Also, no word on when the SD90s in HO will be available here yet.

Have a great weekend and I will keep you all as up-to-date as I can.

There is a new 2 pound 10 ounce Big Boy #X4013, just now advertized from Marklin!

See at marklin.com/bigboy or call 800-825-0888. Its' HO and looks to built as well as all Marklin equipment, (better quality then Brass). The only draw back is, it is for three rail and has the long flanges. You also have to be a club member in order to reserve one of these. It wouldn't hurt to sell your wife's Mink Coat. In fact if you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it, unless you are from Texas.

The way you can tell a rich Texan from a poor one?

The poor Texans have to wash their own Cadillacs! (wonder where I left my soap?) :D
