I've been around for a while but really haven't had a lot of time for any new projects, But now that golfing season is nearing an end, (at least when it comes to league play) I believe I have time to do something nice for all the people who love trains of any type. For this reason I'll give 4 choices to the people on this web site for me to do for them. Since I have around 5000 ho train cars and locomotives I can (1) Just show pictures of gobs of various model train cars. (2) Show with pictures how to identify various makes of ho train cars. (3) Show detail pictures of real train cars for those who love to model but aren't around real train cars to get info. they need. and last but not least (4) I'll show more or less thru pictures and writing how I go about micronizing a ho train car to make it look totally real, we are talking about a studio quality model appearing before your eyes. The details given may give you the push to try weathering some of your train cars. It will be up to the people on this web site to vote for the one project they like the best. Just send me a personal message so I can tally the numbers ( I will erase the messages so as not to fill up my inbox as I tabulate the winning choice) I will let you know when we have a winner.

I kinda like 2 but number 4 has really aroused my curiosity. I vote Number 4.

They all sound like interesting possibilities. You could do all, as time passes! I think 2 and 4 seem the most interesting, right now. Maybe number 4? Talk about a difficult decision!

If it happens that people pick #4 I will probably build and work on a Pennsyvania X-31F turtle roof double door boxcar, They are really cool looking cars from bowser and I promised one to a museum in Western Pennsyvania along with a school book from Pittsburgh and Lake Erie railroad on how to operate a steam locomotive from the 1940's. The book can be bought from me if truly wanted but I'm not sure of the price as of yet. The museum probably would just store it somewhere instead of display such a hard to find piece of history.

Yes! Numbers 2 and 4 ... but as you have already stated, it's your time. :)

Option 3 would be quite useful (albeit a better subject for the Inspection Pit as general reference) but I'd lean towards option 4 as being most popular.

Well it looks like number 4 wins, here are some pictures of the model I will work on, also i can probably do another train car of your choosing. Give me any ideas of something you would like to see, I may even sell it to somebody for a fair price after it's done.

I'll wet your appetite a little by showing a tank car that i'm doing for a gentleman in California. it's about 85% finished.

I'm with Jim, and I think those are some of the most realistic trucks I can recall seeing in quite a while.
