Hey, everyone. As a kid, I had an HO Santa Fe train set which I LOVED, but I haven't done anything with model trains since then. The idea of creating a little world really appeals to me, especially now at age 30 that I have a daughter. Sharing the magic of trains with her is exciting. I was given some old Marklin Z scale gear and am hoping to get a small introductory layout put together. I had an engine going in an oval on the dining room table and she was really excited about it! I hope to get some troubleshooting help and just general pointers from you guys as I run into problems, which has already happened to various degrees.

I join everyone else in welcoming you aboard, Raganim. If your little one is excited about the trains, it will motivate you to keep her interested. I remember when my grandson was all interested, then he grew up. Enjoy the young one's enthusiasm when she's young.
