Another 2 variants Loco no. 1 is a patched ex PennCentral SW1, no. 2 the first SW1 for GN. The CR loco has already DCC installed, no. 2 will get this "treatment" in Germany later. The black loco was already built, I just did the paint job, decals und weathering, the GN was built from the kit with some extra detials like pipes, complete side railing and additional parts on front and rear pilots. Loco were made for Gunnar Haeberer.
Hi Lajos, just some pieces of brass wire straighten up and soldered together and soldered in small slots I milled into the frame
Careful what you ask for......one never knows what Z manufacturers are up to behind closed doors. I'll bet we could compile a list a mile long of new products we'd like to see before we die....
Switcher I want one.... why cannot MTL or AZL produce one, I am sure there is a lot of people in Z land that want to have them. I know we can get them as one offs and painted. But is it not about time we had this as a regular model like the Geep's I would certainly be in the market for them.:tb-biggrin:
Using the "Snail Speed" controller, having good track work, clean track and locomotive wheels, you're able to do switching operations with the SW1. I'm sure MTL is going to produce something, like an NW2 or so, and many more from there. For AZL the issue is more complicated. To equip a switcher locomotive with a non uncoupling "coupler" makes no sense, so first, they need to improve the coupler design.
Steven, we already have the fully enclosed bi-levels. The tri-levels will be coming! The only problem is finding them since they are sold out before they even reach dealers doors. Here is the link: http://www.ztrack.com/AZL/amerzlines_autoracks.html Rob
Back to the real subject, I stopped at the etching company, where my boxcab and SW-1 frets were produced, looking for my film sets. They're somewhere, but we couldn't find them. While we were searching, two 12"x24" etched sheets, total 28 frets of the SW-1 was discovered. Here is the chance to grab some or all without the detail parts, etc. I still have tons of the front and rearlight circuits, I'll include them with the frets. The instructions can be downloaded here. Price is $35.00 / each, including shipping anywhere. I can be reached via e-mail. By the way, I still have many frets of the boxcab. They're $25.00 / each. Lajos
