Oregon Station

An attempt to photograph the station based on a picture in Michael Spoor's book on the CB&Q. Not much has changed except it looks like they are re-laying a fair amount of track to the small yard.

      Don't often get to see a yard of any size rebuilt. Must be important, or something is planned for the future?

      Ken, that is so true. Fortunately the C&I continues to be a strategic line some ten years after the merger. Just past the overpass is the old Q Morrison branch. A small shortline runs duties there for a paper mill up in Morrison. Fortunately this small yard has seen an increase in cars.
