There are You Tube videos on making Peco electrofrog turnouts more DCC friendly. They also work for bettering analog operation. As I understand it, Peco C55 and C80 track will match up in height if the lower flange on the C55 is mated to the C80. Also know that Peco C80 switches are made to NEMA standards not NMRA. C55 are made to NMRA standards. Again, check You Tube for the difference and how to correct the problem. Just remember, You Tube probably has a video on anything you need to know . . . except how to get girls to like you. You're on your own there.
Mark, PECO LIVE FROG TURNOUTS: Yes, the live frog is connected to the movable switch rails, so no extra wiring is required for operation of the live frog. The wiring is explained in the Peco instructions shipped with each Peco turnout. I can help if you need more details, as I have 20 Peco live frog turnouts installed for 30 years. Really important is to keep the movable parts of the turnout clean and free of dust, paint and ballast. - Tonkphilip
Makes sense, I just wanted to know before spending more money, thank you. I'll start with a couple to play around with and go from there.
