I wish to know what side of the track the signals are to stand and what side is the Train Driver on

I have here 2 looping tracks and ashuming, 1 will go left, while the other will go right

I live SO far away from REAL LIVE railway, I don't see it, but I have searched my memory and I think I remember 1 train on the left going up and the return train going down on the right,

what I remember is the train going from Melbourne to Sydney was on the left track and Sydney to Melbourne return down

so with this in mind, I am thinking the SIGNALS on the UPLINE are on the left and the downline on its left side as well, so I ashume the Driver on the left side of the engine

The signals and driver are on the left side. As usual there are a few exceptions regarding signalling but the rule is left side of the track.
Up is generally towards the main terminus and down away but your example of Sydney-Melbourne would change at the border of NSW and Victoria. The signalling would still be on the left side, though.
