Has anyone added bullfrog snot to an old atlas 2-8-8-2? I have a unit that runs well, in spite of its reputation, but doesn't pull well. Looking to add BFS to one or two drivers. Not sure which drivers though. May upgrade to a bmann tender for better electrical pick-up. Anyone have any experience with upgrading this model?
I have not added BFS to my 2-8-8-2 but i may have a set or two of traction tires for this loco. Several years ago when they came out I got some extra driveers from atlas and turned them on the lathe and added tires and I might have a set or two left if you are intrested. By the way I love mine. I have two and they both run great.
