My layout calls for several crossovers being controlled by a single box. The one I just hooked up is a symmetrical crossover, I followed the wiring shown in the Atlas booklet. When I activate the switch box #1 the switches work so the crossover is active. When I move the switch to #2 only the bottom switch (photo) moves back so the main line is active the top one in the crossover doesn't move but it will manually and I feel and hear no power in that switch. ??? Did I wire something wrong ?? or should I attempt to take the switch apart ?? Is this common and is it repairable. TIA

Before you take the turnout apart, try disconnecting the wires only from the slide switch box. A 9 Volt batter is a good tester to see if the turnout will throw in either direction. If it does not work with the 9 Volt battery then you know the wires may be broke or not connected inside the switch motor housing.
