Greetings: I picked up a used Atlas HO 9" turnable w/o any instructions. Should I use AC or DC to rotate the table? Does it matter? I haven't a clue. == Tuvm. MJ
The turntable motor is DC. In fact, it's the same motor they put in their older road diesels. So, if this one ever craps out, all you have to do is pick up an old Atlas/Roco GP 38 (or similar), rip the motor out, remove the flywheels, and you'll be back in business.
