I know....I'm sick! LOL It is good to know it is noticable considering how much time it takes to do that.
Here's a look at the scenery scattered everywhere on the layout.....but there is a method to the madness!
I found a straw today and got the idea to put a drainage tile under the SP Main lines to the ocean from the runoff. Here it is in place. Tomorrow I will paint it and finish putting bushes and rocks around it.
Here is the location of the drainage runoff. It's darker because it has been sprayed with scenic cement. The U50 and train are just waiting to finish the run.
EUREKA!!! ...maybe I'm not there yet, but your regular progress inspires! :boy: :lightning: :w20z6q: :w20z6q:
That'll change once he gets back to work Playing with the horribly over sized trains. Trust me, I've been there before:embarassed:
Today I ballasted another couple feet after finishing the drainage tile. While waiting for the ballast to set so I can dress it up, I added some roots/vines to one of the rock castings.
Here's a look at the progress on the drainage tile. The straw has been painted, foliage, rock and dirt added. I really like the dirt next to the track here......it's real dirt from Pinole that I collected on my trip.
After the ballast dries I'll clean the rails/ties and when I get more trees bought or made I am going to add several to this area too.
What would look good against all this CA green???? I think some Grey and Red. I still hear some pounding, and the ground is starting to shake.......it's getting closer.
Personally, I think a misrouted PA from the east would look great against that beautiful background. :shade:
