BNSF 4434 needs a trip to the paint shop. Looks a lot more faded than any other H2 Dash 9.

What? Nobody saw the press release? Apparently this is yet another experimental paint scheme - this one in preparation for the proposed UP-BNSF merger. Hence the faded orange/yellow. Although I can't see how the ICC would approve that if they dissed the SPSF merger... :teeth:

Wow. Just a bit weather bleached!

UP-BNSF merger? Argh! What a horrible thought. Combining two huge messes, into one gigantic disaster? Well, the trucking industry would be happy!

    :eek:mg:

The Worst? Not hardly. I see Dash 9s like that all the time. Some days I forget and think that's the color they really wanted.

There's a few engines in that series that look like that!

wonder why some of them get more sunbleached than others?
maybe some high pressure water would take the rest of that off?

Guys, this order of GE engines was part of an order of bad paint from DuPont. The orange bleeched within a year. That is why you may see newer GE's with a second coat of paint on them, due to the warentee. Galesburg had one of these at the downtown display this year during RR Days.

They should return to Silver and Red. It can handle the Desert. ;)
