BNSF Heritage Fleet

    Everyone was so busy looking at the NS Heritage Fleet in Spencer, NC, that they all missed the BNSF Heritage Fleet gathering in Minneapolis this weekend. Instead of 20 engines, BNSF had over 200 on display!

    I think they were operating that snow plow consist BACKWARD!

    They should try it the other way next time. ;-)

    How much of that is stored and how much is active?

    Everything in the first shot in being stored. You can see all the exhaust stacks are capped. Some of those Oakway Leasers may end up in CN colors pretty quick. BNSF sure doesn't need them right now.

    There were another sixty or so engines my the refueling/sanding racks. Those were mostly Dash 9s, ES44s, SD40-2s, with a couple GP28s and 39s mixed in for fun.
