    If anybody has one, what is your opinion of this new loco, i am thinking of buying one but i want to be sure as it is a large investment. Just what are your pros and cons, thanks alot.

    Don't know about that loco. I have two of the Santa Fe 4--8-4 and like both very much.

    I have read a couple of reviews on this loco, and I have a few BLI locos, and I have a BLI N&W J on order with my dealer. If you like that loco, I know of no reason not to get one. I think BLI has excellent steam.

    The only problem I have with BLI, is:

    1. plastic siderods
    2. sound unit rattles tender ( I have 4 locos, and all four do this, even with volume turned down.

    Hmmmmm. I have 3 BLI locos. All 3 have metal siderods. None of the speakers rattle, even at full volume.
    So, I'd say you may want to take care.
