Nice Job Kevin, I have a similar scene on this on mine. Looks like you been on a mission of sorts. I on the other hand, have done next to nuthin on my outfit. I have some rock molds, I and a friend made from lump coal you can used provided you only use plaster. Loaned them to a guy that tried that Mountain In Minutes stuff from a decade or two ago, well a lot of molds didn't survive that. My molds are not as thick as some commercial ones and can be bent curved and otherwise manipulated way easier than some. I have a few trees you can have too. Give me a call when you get to town, I would like to see them on your RR. Say hi from me to your family!
I think my car show got a little out of co tell. . I still have more cars in a box under the layout that may or may not come out.
Now for a small update. I’ve been working on waybills as of late and going through the motions on operations. This will show how much can change even though one thinks they had it figured out. I have a small spur going nowhere. Figures it would have been a good spot for excess cars for the smelter. Now I’m thinking an interchange. Since I’m free lancing two railroads come to mind that I can interchange with. KCS or Frisco. I already have UP and BNSF run through trains.
Ok 89 waybills complete. I just received another order of 200 plastic sleeves. I still have 111 from the last order not used yet. .
Ok I pulled out the 150th Annie train from the box and placed it on the layout. The decoders still need to be programmed. They look good. I like what I see and when I compare the 119 that my dad had back in the 80’s it is really a nice upgrade. I even added a couple of cars I already had to the trains.
Seems that way. I have plans on removing rollling stock and rotating it through. Just need to make the boxes that will hold the stuff not being used at the moment.
Woohoo! After a nice visit yesterday, I now have two Acheovments earned and two of my structures have earned Métis awards. I need to work on a couple structures and add a few more details then have them reevaluated. But the two that did earn awards are both scratch built. The fire tower I built a few years ago and the mine dump house I built three weeks ago. I have some ideas already forming on interior details for the foundry building. The roundhouse I can do some interior detailing and maybe some exterior stuff. The brewery I will be adding a few details to it as well. Then all that is left is to build another scratch built structure. I am thinking a scale house.
This is just one I found on google images. I thought it made for a nice prototype to emulate. I may end up using several to get the desired effect.
Looks like a former scale house note it looks like at one time there was a 2nd set of rails just inside the first set.
