Not really sure where exactly to put this, but I figured I'd put it here just to show off a little. (Not really, just sharing :D)
After being majorly inspired to lay my own track by pastoolio's how-to thread, I was wondering where to get plans for sort of non-standard turnouts. After only finding Templot, and seeing that it's ludicrously expensive, and I'm trying to live on a really tight budget, I figured I'd throw together some cad files so that I could have exactly what I want where I want it. Pretty much my own templot, courtesy of solidworks.
The idea is that I can set it up so that I can edit a series of parameters to give me most any variation on a normal turnout, given length, frog number, curve, etc.
If I can figure out how to assign variables, I may be able to do this very well and I'd be more than happy to distribute to whoever wants it.
Just seeing what you guys think.
