Happy travels today, Mark. Should be some excellent scenery. So, now that you pulled out of Denver, how many folks on the train?
So why are we using a web address and not posting the pictures directly to TB? We'd love to see your pictures without having to click away from here. Sounds like you are enjoying the ride. Does it have to do with copyright issues?
Blink and I would have missed it! I just happened to look up out the window and catch a glimpse of a superliner sitting in the distance! Train number 6 waited in while we passed. I got several snap shots both coming and going of train 6! But since I used my canon instead of iPhone I won't get those posted until later. Were almost to Glenwood springs now. We just entered the river valley that runs alongside I70. Edit: Here are the photos.
It can be rather tricky to edit up a post with embedded pictures from a mobile device like an iPhone, whereas copying/pasting a URL is very simple. Also, the iPhone won't allow direct uploading of images from its local memory to a website. You have to use an app like the Flickr app or - I suppose - a similar one for Imageshack. It's a file system security "feature". (Disclaimer: As with nearly all things electronic, there's probably a way around this "feature", especially if your phone is jailbroken. But I don't know what they are). @MARK - Great shots, and a great ride-along. Thanks for sharing your trip with us!!
Incredible!!!!! Not 2 seconds after this photo was clicked, the ice fall was GONE!! And I don't mean out of sight. When I looked back after I clicked the pic, the falls came crashing down!!!! Pure amazing!
Here are two photos from moffat that I haven't had signal to upload until now. The one of the train is at Fraiser. The one if the heavy snowfall is the east side of moffat.
:zip: I won't tell if you won't. Not that it makes any difference.. but it's just the camera that just barely squeezes enough out to get the shot. All of Mark's appendages remain inside the car.
Just picked up a signal again. Must mean were close to the next stop. Yep. Google maps shows me a few miles outside Grand Junction.
Oh, this will be pleasant. The gentleman who just boarded and sat next to me reeks of a certain illegal plant. My goodness, he might as well just hang a sign around his neck to make it less obvious. And now I have to put up with this wretched smell. Thanks jerk. *hiding my snacks*
