I like to browse the advertisers. But I'd like trainboard to stay and the advertiser open in a separate window. Can this be done. Thanks

    Marty,

When I click an advertiser, it opens in a new tab on the same browser window. I think it's a browser issue. I don't know what browser you are using, but you might be able to fiddle with the preferences and get it changed.

What browser are you using, just in case someone here has an answer to the question of how to configure it?

I believe for most MS Window systems that if you "Right Click" any hyperlink you will get an option to open the link in a New Window (and/or Tab) based on what browser you are using.

I forgot to mention that I am using Firefox on both a PC and a Mac, and get the same result.

Hi all, I should have been specific. I'm using the jump pull down menu, when this happens.

Thanks for the solution. I'm using ie8. My options are set to open link in new tab, yet it jumps the same way as jumping to a diffeent forum. I'm thinking it's inherent in the jumping command. The right click solution will work.

SteamDonky74, How much does Firefox cost and how can I get a copy? Maybe that would solve some of my problems.??? I am trying to use OutLook Express or Internet Explorer, I think. Thanks, Watash

Wayne, Firefox is a web browser that is an alternative to Internet Explorer. Outlook express is your email client - they are not related.

Firefox and Internet Explorer will coexist happily with each other, though they will argue a bit over which gets to be your "default" browser. Firefox is free, and is an "open source" effort. It's largely programmed by volunteers (hobbyist computer geeks), with some industry support.

Just go here, and follow the instructions to install. It's pretty easy, and you'll probably end up liking it better than IE (though version 8 isn't bad). It'll even import all of your bookmarks and browsing history from IE.
