It is now a done deal. DM&E is no more and CP just got bigger. http://www8.cpr.ca/cms/English/Media/News/General/2008/STB+approval.htm Adam
Hmmm, I shoot a lot of DM&E hoppers here. I would suspect they won't paint anything on them, but who knows?
In acquiring control, will CP actually absorb DM&E, et al? Or operate them as subsidiaries for now? Boxcab E50
FYI we are still DM&E. Wont be CP proper we will be a subsidiary. Also can our "big brother" in Canada kindly send some of its stored power this way?Just asking why we have to deal with junk lease units while it has stuff stored.
CP Going into Coal hauling out of the Powder River Basin They same to be going ahead with plans to run a new coal line into the Powder River Basin. How ever, they are being kind of secretive about it. They are not making a news flash or banners and parades They are just doing it. They have settled with Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to build tracks across the Res. I talked to a guy who is selling them land right now at Edgemont SD. Can we say Black Diamonds, EHH
The DM&E plans for accessing the PRB have been on and off for 12 years or so. It has been a slow ands expensive exercise and it was mooted some time back that CP would likely be involved in some capacity. It seems as owner, now. BTW, there was a dedicated email list owned by Matt Frahm that was following the DM&E for some time.
Thats weird I just seen this but I caught these two units in Nashville of all places Monday.Bad photo but it was my phone.2 CSX units, 1 DME unit, and 1 CP unit.
The PRB line proposal has been crawling. Every person who smells a dollar has been suing, etc. Boxcab E50
