Now that I can once again expand the DHVM I am able to get more of the wonderful collections that I have gained access to upload into my web site. Scott has given me permission to add several D&H Vintage Steam & Diesel photographs (plus more) such as this one of Class-J Challenger #1517 (Mechanicville, NY).

I love those big old Thunder Machines! Wish there was video around, with real sound. (Not dubbed....)

I remember those 1500s pulling into the B&M receiving yard at Mechanicville with a train. The rear end would cut the caboose off on the fly and let it roll to a clear track. The engine would cut off and go back through the clear track to pick up the caboose and then back out on the main and go down to the D&H engine house.
