I am planing on useing Tortoise switch machines for my layout and digitrax detection. my question is will a ds64 auto throw a turnout useing just the detection, or will i need to use a dcc hare/wabbit and cut the required gaps in the rail. Price wise the options are close, just looking for easy. On another note, anyone know when atlas will make code 55 turnouts? my layout has been stuck waiting over a year.
I am using Wabbits with my Tortoises and I have cut gaps for auto throw on just four of them (so far). It looks like the DS64 can also do auto throw but it will depend upon the what type of detection is installed (the example is a BD4 with a gap cut in the rail. All of my track and turnouts are Peco C55
