Ed is very well known in the S scale community. Wasn't his layout also in an issue of Great Model Railroads, a few years back?
It was in "Great Model Railroads" and has since come closer to completion. About a year and half ago his layout was open for the O Scale National and he demonstrated his day to night back to day lighting. Very nice, and effective. He has completed his freight yard IIRC so his track is all down and he's doing scenery work. When his layout is open to the public, a friend will bring some of his Espee trains over to run. Never saw Espee in New York? Well if you get a chance to visit Ed's layout during O/S scale West you will see some fine Espee modeling running through Ed's New York scenery. Greg
That is a great job. That dam is spectacular. S is like Z, you have to make do with what you can find of build yourself.
I LOVE scratchbuilding & kitbashing. I have told myself MANY times that if I ever decided to get out of N scale I would go into Sn3 in a heartbeat!
Love to see S scale as this was the one used in New Zealand when HO track was virtually the only type available to modellers (apart from O), and of course suited 1/64, 3/16"-Ft, 3'6" guage. I still have some of the plans I bought from a hobby shop in the 70's. Wish I'd kept them all but were unwisely discarded when shifting to Australia. Dumb eh!. What also took my eye was that beaut green GM Pontiac custom rod (I know it's customed 'cause it's lowered) parked behind the bus at the station.
