Welcome to Trainboard, I & O ! Again, I've never heard of that line. Do you have any photo(s) you can share? Ken ... I'm *very* familiar with the CN. But it seems every time I see one of their trains I'm zooming along I-5 and the CHP frowns upon a non-emergency stop on the freeway. Thanks to both of you guys for your posts.
The Indy & Ohio>>> http://www.american-rails.com/indiana-and-ohio-railway.html ow a part of RailAmerica. They're about as Shortline-y as Indiana Railroad, but they must be doing something right! \
Thanks! Its a pretty big railroad actually, its got lines from Detriot to Cincinnatti and Cincinnatti to Columbus but they could've done a better job with their locos... They sevice quite a bit of customers in Cincinatti and im told they run quite a few trains down there, but i live in Leipsic which is closer to Detriot.
Howdy all. I joined up in 2009 and then life and work got in the way of interests. I can't remember if I posted anything then or not, but if not, this seems like a great thread to start off in. At this point, my favorite short line is the Tennessee Southern RR in southern Middle Tennessee. It's close to me and I get to see it running every now and then. They were bought by Patriot Rail Corp several years ago and they are now running all rebuilt GP9u's instead of their old hand-me-downs that were falling apart. My plan is to build a HCD point to point in N scale that is based on the TSRR. It will probably be a protolanced setup that mimicks the TSRR industries and landscape. All aboard! Adrian
Glad to see you active again. Please keep us updated on that HCD project. It's always interesting to read what people create on a door. Some fascinating results!
Apache Railway. Founded as a logging line to connect lumber operations in the White Mountains of Arizona to the ATSF transcon at Holbrook, AZ but now runs paper, coal and grain to and from Holbrook and Snowflake.
