Today I put the first 3 pictures in my railimages account:
    http://www.railimages.com/gallery/christophseelhorst

It is nothing special, just a view of the station tracks and a view of the helix.
The only special thing is that there is still a mix of German and U.S. trains on the tracks.
In future this shall be more separated, i.e. either U.S. or German trains.

    Cheers, Christoph

Sure looks neat and well done! As long as the couplers work together, I could use both sets and have longer trains to run when no one is watching! :D

    Geeky,
I have a bit of everything. Personally, I think that Fleischmann is the best, they have a consistent quality [IMG] . Kato does some German trains, too, the quality is the same as their American models. Minitrix are also good, though some of their latest steamers (German classes 44, 45) have problems (a high tech drive with Faulhaber motors, but obviously no quality control) [IMG] . Minitrix cars are great.
If you want more details, contact me directly.

    Cheers, Christoph

    mentioning fleishmann, i was wondering.

have you used any fleishmann track?
    if so, how is it?

Would it be a nightmare to correct if a train derailed in the helix?

Kinda neat with the mix of prototypes; you could nickname your company the "Schizoid Road!" But seriously, I know a lot of countries have ended up with a rather eclectic mix; the Iraqi Railway, for example, has a hodge podge of rolling stock from former Soviet Bloc countries, switchers from Holland and French road engines with American prime movers. Have fun with it, get what piques your interest!

Concerning track: all track is Peco code 55. I have tried Fleischmann turnouts but the PRR J-1a derailed. The lower part of the helix is Roco code 80, which shall be also used for the hidden staging yard (still only a plan),
I have taken some pictures today, the first 3 were from summer. Anyone sees some progress?? [IMG] [IMG]
