Your site is great. I really like what you've done in the 3x5 space. Any chance we can see a trackplan for your layout? I am spacially challenged as well and would like to see what you did to cope with the limitations.

You mentioned your affinity for gp38's. Tell us more about your Gp38 driving. how did that happen?

I'm always amused by our language differences on here. Yes we all share english, but we use english differently. I am sure there are American euphemisms that do not make sense or are completely obscene to a Brit, such as when we say we had a really filling meal and can't eat a bit more, we say we are Stuffed. Well...you Brits use the word Stuff in a much different context.

So, I was reading the post about "knocking up" a web site and I was amused because "knocked up" means to be pregnant. So of course, knocking someone up... well it can mean something akin to Stuffed. :D

Geeky, you remind me of something we were told by relatives when we visited them in Michigan. (English woman who married an American GI just after the war). Her sister and husband later emigrated to the US.

They were planning a trip out the next day and one of the English women said, "fine, we will knock you up in the morning" to which the American's wife said "the hell you will"! :D

Anyway, Paul, your website looks very good. Is the software supplied by your webspace provider? The whole site is very cool looking, and easy to navigate. The only additional thing I would like is to have full size pictures clickable off the small ones.

Remind us when you do any updates [IMG]

The website was provided by my broadband provider and was easy to use so i thought why not?
As for the gp38 geeky, i met a driver on the net who works for csx and as i work on the railroad over here he said if your ever over here come have a drive! well the first time i saw an American engine ( a dash 9) i was like wow! These guys can build engines! So thats how i came into American modelling and now visit the states as often as possible to go railfanning

SO I suppose all your American trainboard buddies get a free cab ride? hint hint lol J/k

thats great about getting to drive a diesel over here though. Is there much difference between the brands and how they operate?

Theres a lot of difference! Freight loco wise the most powerful locos we have are 3300 Horsepower (and they are EMD imports) most of our older types of engine are gone now so theres not much variety as there is over there and freight on rails is tiny compared with truck haulage. Our countrys tight loading gauge prevents things like twin stacks running over here, we dont have road railers, the freights are that short you rarely see more than one loco per train! Not bad for a country that invented the damn railroad! [IMG]

very nice done. however, i'd suggest to use a slightly larger font. on my 20" flat running at 1600x1200 i had some difficulties to read several words.
