Recently Frisco 4-8-4 4500 was moved from its temporary storage spot at the Sunoco refinery in Tulsa, OK and placed on display along old US 66 in far southwestern Tulsa. The locomotive, restored & repainted in the blue & white livery and Meteor lettering it wore in its glory days, was moved by the Tulsa-Sapulpa Union Ry. to a new display site, and slowly backed across the highway to its new home. It joins a TSU passenger car and a Frisco caboose.

Here's a pic of the 4500 a week after it was moved:

The bell, headlight and numberboard had not had the protective wrapping (good ol' plastic garbage bags) removed, and the panel track used to move the locomotive had yet to be removed.

Argh. That's too nice to just be a static display.
