Hi As I understand it, some (most) GE 44 tonners had Caterpillar D17000s installed as the prime mover. I have an HO model of one of these and am keen to install a sound decoder in it. I shall be using the Loksound micro, and, in the absence of being able to have one of these engines on the decoder, was wondering what, if any, of the other engine types would be nearest to the Caterpillar for sound?
