Hi Kim, I try to post you the Märklin file, but for the moment the 88053 is not yet in the spare part list. Larry described the BR53 very good with "A ghost in America" because this loco was never build, just a last war years project, showing again Märklins big imagination. More crazy even, (I will not use dirty word) is the fact that this engine was for sure not planned from the beginning with condensation tender, because the technical problems to lead the steam back was sure not planned to resolve at such early development stage.
Armand, I was looking for the 2-6-8-0, the 6-8 wheel arrangement is articulated and both sets are driven with one motor. I was curious to see how Marklin made the linkage between the 6 wheel set and the 8 wheel set. It is the Marklin 88053. Torsja, said it belonged to one of his colleague and when he gets a chance he will ask him to take some pictures. Thanks Kim
Armand, Thanks that is what I was looking for. If you see the power pickup it is at very few points probably because it is articulated. Kim
Sorry for posting this non-Z train vid but you have to see this creative editing: http://www.miniatur-wunderland.de/anlage/video/fundstuecke/film/artikel/der-eisenbahn-looping/ Miniatur-wunderland is the HUGE layout Hamburg, Germany .
The BAZ BoyZ, live from Sacramento, CA via Nick Zorn of Great Train Expo. He shot the live segment using our camera. As soon as I get the video from the Channel 31 supplier, I'll post their footage (better video and audio).
Nice video Jeff. Its always nice to have a video report of the show, and can't wait for the upgrade version.
Good video Jeff. I don't know why all young females in broadcasting now seem to have tiny little voices and sound like they are talking through their noses but it seems to be a nationwide phenomenon. Nice to see model railroading on TV though. Charlie
Charlie, from your broadcast experience, you should know that because of ancient cultural traditions, women are supposed to be diminutive in nature. Every time I go to Japan, I almost can't stand it. As soon as they get in a real traditional situation, they tighten right up. Korea's not as bad but they're way up there too. Out here on the Left Coast, they're getting sorta deeper. Must be the male equality thing. .
More show time from the February Great Train Expo in Sacramento, CA. The 9 yr old in the Vid knows his trains!!! Besides pointing all the locos in the yard and running trains, he looked right at me with the cocky discusted look and said "you can't run a Daylight with a Sunset Limited" referring to the AZL SP E7s with the string of Märklin passenger cars !
Howdy All My new Rio Grandes came today, and i just happen to have the modules up and running prior to next weeks show...... What a great time for a new video... Tony B... Wasatch Z Club
