wow, i love this SW1200RM... Is it your scratch ? I plan to build one from a BLI SW9 and GP7 ... What a beautiful face he has this switcher...
Hi, this is not a scratch, it's a Brass HO Overland Models OMI factory painted CANADIAN NATIONAL RAILWAY (CNR), SW 1200 RSm, Road Number 7104, weathered and detailed by Red Pine Precision Modeling. This Engine has DCC and a Tsunami soun decoder.
Thanks for the kind words. Yes the pictures where made in the sun. My small switching Layout is just 90cm long and 30cm deep, so it's easy to bring it outside.
For the first couple of glances,I thought pics were real!!!!Second pic of old truck finally gave it away.Great work. Cheers Stu.
Hello Friends I'm glad that I can show some of Rodney Walkers fantastic work on my little Layout. I'll show more pictures soon.
Absolutely gorgeous! Seriously! The models, weathering and photography are museum quality. Thanks for sharing. Mark
When I first clicked on this post, I saw the winter pictures and was sure someone was out rail-fanning. After looking at them for a while, I just couldn't be 100% so I skipped back to the first page. Your work is phenomenal!! Almost every photo could be a real scene. By the time I got back to the snow photos, I realized that the only miniscule detail that made me question the realism was the shiny track. If it had of been weathered, I don't think you could have convinced me that it was HO scale. Amazing work!!
I agree with RussHart and the others who love this scene. I can picture many 'realroad' ( my word for the real guys ) areas with trains looking like this..These are heavily worked switchers shunting heavily used and abused box cars. And so what if it is exagerated visually !! It's an A-one job and MRRs like myself love rusty, dilapidated equipment and structures...Hello ! It's a hobby ! It's theater. It's fantasy..Like ' there is no crying in baseball ', there are no wheathering warnings in model rail...If this is how you see it Jurg , HAVE FUN !!
