This is my first post and I would like to say that this forum has given me many ideas for my upcoming layout Now what I would like to see are some large coal mining complexes in the range of 3 to 6 tracks if anyone has such a structure could you please post a photo ANOTHER thing that i have been toying with is paper and card structures with the number of free downloads on the Net I think this is a splendid media to work with all you need to do to kitbash is to make more copies and have fun If you have never tried this media I suggest you give it a try and let me know what you think The BUILD YOUR OWN MAIN STREET site has a number of nice structures as well as CLEVER MODELS has a new free structure every month or so MODELBUILDER also has a free building and if you search the net you will find others LOOKING FORWARD HEARING FROM YOU PS. I use the cardboard structures as stand ins until i scratchbuild its replacement On a friends layout some of these stand ins have been used for the last 5 years THANKS PAUL

    Welcome at TrainBoard, Paul.

I agree, with paper you can build fantastic structures. I've seen a layout at a convention, this was great. And the background buildings were made mainly from paper. Here's the link.
