Does anyone have a good way to manufacture stove pipes for old-fashioned stoves? I can use the ubiquitous "straw" method but I don't like the results as the bends in the "pipe" look crimped and there is no ribbing in the joints. Any ideas?
How about copper wire wrapped with thin metal for joints? It would be strong that way. Or maybe paper wrapped copper wire. You might also use plastic tubing heated to make the angles. I'm just tossing out ideas. It sort of sounds like you are on your own with this one.
Piece of cake. Below is a link to Plastruct's 1:48 scale, plastic rodding and fittings. When you pull up the linked page.... 1.) Leave catalog description blank 2.) Select "Tubing" under product group 3.) Select 1:48 under scale 4.) Hit "Search" >>>Have at it!<<< .
Thanks for the link! Great ideas Swissboy! In the end I used a piece of sprue that was close. I am definately ordering some of the tubing from Platruct though!
