hello ,i am looking to find out if somebody can tell me if it is possible to attach a red and green led light to my kato switches. i am in the process of moving all my turnouts to dpdt momentary switches, since they are not constantly powered does anyone know if there would be an easy and economical way to achieve this , thanks dennis;)

Yes there is a way but instead fo attaching to the switches you need to go to the rail for power. It will require isolating the turnouts and using the power routing capabilities to supply power to each leg.

If you plan to power the LED's from track power, you may need to add a bridge rectifier since LED's will operate only when current flows from anode to cathode and they will not light when you change polarity to the track. The bridge rectifier (diodes in parallel) will allow current flow in either direction. If track power is your only option, you may be better off using simple 12-16V grain of wheat bulbs as they are not sensitive to polarity.
