My BLI manual tells me I can get "Freight Sounds" from F15.
I'm using the NCE Power Cab and have tried to program this factory F15 to a button on my cab.
I am obviously totally lost as to how to accomplish this.

Any help such as, "press this button, then press this button" I guess is what I need.

Have yet to figure out how to get an "F"...If I press the shift key it takes me to program loco.

Can anyone direct me on this?

I know it has to be simple but it is just flying right over my head.

You must perform what is known conventionally as 'remapping' a function key. They tend to come pre-set to provide a given sound or effect function, not always per any set conventions or NMRA guidelines or even any rules. So, if you find that F 15 currently affords the user the sound of a toilet flushing, and you could do without it, then remap the function for the effect you want in the CV that provides it to F15. Your manual almost certainly covers that process.

OK I jumped the gun....I found the extended function, programming the option key to 122 and that took care of everything.

I know I read it but I must have skipped over that part when I started trying to find the keys for F.

LOL...yep, kinda been a reoccurring incident throughout my life-put it together then read the manual to find out where all the extra parts go...it works as well now as it did when I was younger...(shaking my head and laughing)

I'll be re-reading the consist setup section again today.
I know when I set my option key to 122 (like the manual said) I now get all those cool radio conversations and the industrial sounds! Really neat stuff! DCC is just a whole different world altogether as far as I'm concerned.

Currently operating my switches with the Kato dc power, but looking forward to one day converting them to dcc also. There is just so much you can do with dcc!

I also foresee a wireless future........of course that will be way down the road. Right now this is plain ole fun.
