We have had a busy day and I am just getting to the computer now. We had to take the dogs to the groomers, do some shopping, and take my daughter for her annual check-up. This weekend my daughter is going horseback riding with the youth group at church. While she is there we are going to take my son a tour of some of the local model railroad layouts that are holding open houses this weekend. Since we did the shopping today that is out of the way for the weekend. My daughter does have cheerleading for the conference championship game after horseback riding. Modeling I will continue working on the farm house and maybe do some more weathering of some of the RTR cars I have sitting on the work bench.
Still making ice. Go to work on an HO layout tomorrow...scenery stuff. I need to start on buildings, too.
I've got about 6' of incline to get dialed in prior to laying track. It's looking like I might have to go with a 540 degree helix to gain enough vertical separation to accomodate a train and my arm. I was overly optimistic as to how much I could live with. Not a big deal as I knew it would be hidden anyway, it'll just take more time to execute. Also I've got the first four of a bunch of ground throws to install. And of course I can run trains and adjust/test/enjoy now. I'll try and get some pics at least as far as my Railimages album later this wknd.
I plan to take some more photo's and work on the Helicon Software program. I still have more decoders to install in loco's. I'm working on another lasercut building kit. Stay cool and run steam...... [ November 11, 2005, 08:49 PM: Message edited by: Powersteamguy1790 ]
One word: Trainfest. We got the layout up and running, and I think we've got all the electrical problems worked out (we'll see in the morning). Tomorrow it'll be running trains, shopping for trains and talking about trains.
1.) Working on buildings. 2.) Snappin' some pictures to update the RailImages album Modeling will be interrupted tomorrow or Sunday for several hours for the purpose of getting up leaves...... Tomorrow night will be dedicated to watching College Football. Other than that... its all modeling this weekend.
Run trains and talk to people for the second weekend of our NTRAK club's open house on the Houston area layout tour. Sunday night it all comes down and hauled away until January when we set up at the "World's Greatest Hobby" show in Houston.
I'm working with my trestle. There's a lake for crossing. And I needed two story bents. ZOOM IN Next step, NBW's. Happy tooot Wolfgang
Well the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers lost to Parkersburg "Big Red" last night in Round 1 of Class AAA playoffs 35-7, so the season is over for the home team. I've gotten a lot of soldering done through the week I suppose I'll make some more progress on it this weekend. Might go run trains with a buddy later today, that's about it for this weekend.
Will not get much work done on the layout this weekend, as I will be going to Spalding Model Railway Exhibition.
I should finish a drug store for my new layout, and I've begun work on a office building for the street across from the city park. If the Brawa lamp posts arrive, I'll connect them up and that will finish the city park
Will work on (finally) the handrails on my shortened Minitrix decapod. Other than that, I hope to run some trains.
