Welcome back to the gateway to the weekend. Hard to believe that March is half over and spring is just a few days away. Still depending on where you live, Old Geezer Winter may still be around. Fortunately, the workshops and layouts are usually warm. Let's see what we have on our modeling agenda this weekend.

Friday: With two late nights this week for live feeds, I'll leave work early today. I need to get to the post office to send some documents to my dad in NH regarding my truck so I can start getting that ready for the year. I would also like to get some more wiring done on the N scale layout and get that behind me. Once Ang gets home from her in office week, we'll likely take it easy for the evening.

Saturday: It is going to be a busy day of running around and getting things. Not much planned as far as trains on Saturday. No cars either, that will be next week.

Sunday: We get a return of cold weather after having temps in the 60s and 70s all week. I plan to make coffee, listen to podcasts and finish wiring on the N scale layout. It has been a very busy week, so I'll be looking forward in relaxing before starting it all over again on Monday.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 18th to see how we all did. Until then have a great weekend, be safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

I am writing this while at the Orthopedic Surgeon’s office where we will discuss the knee surgery next Tuesday and then the Physical Therapy for the other knee that was done earlier. I may get some modeling done later today before going bowling tonight.

On Saturday and Sunday I will be busy administering the Cleveland City bowling tournament so not much modeling will take place. As a result I am taking my wife to my niece’s restaurant in Ohio City Saturday night.

Happy Friday all! @dti406 hope all goes well with knee! Having a bad one myself, I know it's no fun.
Going to be a wet Friday for the better part of the day here. Hoping to get to the workbench this evening to continue working on freight car loads.
Saturday, will be a work day as we are doing some system updates. Could take anywhere from 7 to 14 hours so just not sure if I will get any modeling in so not making any plans for the day. If things go well and it gets into the 70's by afternoon and I'm home, I want to at least get some paint on a fire truck kit.
Sunday should be a slightly quieter day but at some point, time TBD, I will have to drive down to Georgia tech to pick up my son. It's spring break week for them so he wants to come home and go hang out with his friends. For trains, I want to try and do a DCC install in a Kato Dash 9, finish up some more of the freight car loads, and maybe install a few metal wheels. If I did get to paint on Saturday, I may also try and start building the fire truck kit. That all may be a bit ambitious but we'll see. Feeling motivated :)

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Friday greetings and good morning. This weekend should be all trains along w/ keeping up with college basketball today and tomorrow. @dti406 Sending 2-6-6-6 Allegheny power vibes your way. Best of luck w/ the knees and here's to an awesome outcome for you.

It was a good week here. We got a contract on our daughter's home back in mid-February and "settled" on it yesterday. The deed was also recorded to the new owners yesterday so that is a big relief here and off our plate! On the modeling front, not sure what will get done. I have quite a few things on-going and haven't decided where the time will be channeled.

I see coffee making that decision in the AM. I'll be anxious to see Monday morning exactly what the heck I did do! Have a great and peaceful weekend all!

@dti406 Good luck with the knee.

If all goes well I will be picking up my car from the body shop on the way home from work. My wife got her car on Wednesday. Since my car wasn’t done yesterday I had to stop at the rental car place and transfer the rental from her claim to my claim for one day.

Saturday I will be working some overtime. The rest of the weekend will include running to the produce store, grocery store, and who knows where else. There is a large pile of laundry that has been neglected this week due to me working mostly 10 hour days starting a 5 AM. Sunday is St Patrick’s Day which means I will be cooking the corned beef and cabbage.

On the layout I want to get the bridge in place. It now appears that my attempt to save the tracks are futile. It looks like I need to pull the existing track and replace it with new. I plan on placing the bridge and abutments temporarily unit I get a second bridge in place for the third track. The second bridge should be delivered on Saturday so I may work on that. I was going to build the Parkview Tenements kit next but after discovering a box with two Lundy Studio kits and two City Classic kits I may start to assemble one of them.

    Good morning everyone,

Rain has stopped for now but it's very windy so more yard cleanup is in the forecast. I have finally got the automatic part of the controls for my friend's staging yard working reliably. We are planning on a video call sometime this weekend so I can demonstrate it for him. As time allows over the weekend I'll continue work on buildings for Carlin, maybe installing some low profile wheels on more freight cars, and run some trains.

Everyone have a great weekend whatever you are doing.

@dti406: Wishing you the best possible outcome!

Looks like we might see some 60's according to the forecast. And even some sun!

Friday: Starting with taking off the snow tires on the SUV. Then my son is bringing his car over to repair a couple door handle switches. If that goes quickly, we will get lunch before swapping out his snow tires. Then putting the tires in the storage unit. There are some minor tweaks on his car we may complete as well. I would like to tackle other chores, but tomorrow is more realistic.

Saturday: I need to prune the apple trees. It can't be put off any longer. Then maybe I get to the real job for the weekend.

I want to turn the tube on the left into a better version of the slug on the right. We will see if 1: it gets done and 2: it is actually an improvement. If all goes well it will become the boiler for the Mikado. There is also a soccer game at lunch time, but we don't subscribe to that streaming service. Not sure we will be motivated enough to go find it in a local pub. Plenty of mundane chores to complete around the house.

Sunday: Start off with a soccer match in the morning. Then out for bacon and eggs. Another match to watch in the afternoon. Otherwise, what I do will depend on what I get done Friday and Saturday. There is garage junk to clean out. Plenty more to do on the Mikado. It is St Patrick's Day, not a major event in our house, but sometimes the local diners have tasty specials. We will see.

    Stay safe,

N-scale wiring is job "done". (y) Ohio City restaurant sounds tasty. ;) Maybe seeing a freight car load conveyor development. All trains all weekend sounds like a dream come true! :) Extra fine details will look sharp. Lots of kit options at hand. "Run some trains is always a worthy goal. (y) Tasty local specials is what it's all about. (y) This past week somehow somebody slipped Monday into my Toosdee. I had a plan. Not a very complicated plan but still a plan. I was looking forward to going and getting back and working on my project and making good progress. (y) Since it was a pretty and sunny day I went to the car wash. "About time.", I thought. As I went through the wash there was a loud noise at the car's left side. The vertical "flapper" broke the mirror. Yerps! I parked and motioned for the manager to come look. He did and made a report. I finished by vacuuming the car. After borrowing some masking tape, the mirror was steady enough to drive home. The claim is still in process. I was able to rectify myself enough to do a little project work. More to the long point, I am still working on making Spanish tile roofing for the passenger depot porch. Takes a bit of time. Earlier today, my daughter's vehicle got new rear brakes and I got to take said vehicle to the garage and wait on it. I think if I lean into it, I can do some work today and tomorrow and Sunday. As a side note, I was able to super glue and duct tape the mirror back in place. :cautious: I am now an official redneck. Hoping for great outcome for dti406 knee procedure. Have a dry, safe and fun weekend. And Happy St. Paddy's Day! :D:D

It's likely going to be a rather quiet weekend here with only today being usable for trains. Spent part of yesterday working on designing and installing some parts for my PnP machine, so many small parts in this thing now!

Today I'll be wrapping up testing of a new throttle and testing of the SD card interface on the CS that is not working correctly. At some point later today I'm going to start redrawing my RGS track plan from a 10x10ft to 8x12ft so it fits my space a bit better.
