We even have the "toy Trains" in Ft.Worth now! I could not hear one as it slowly rolled by with engine idling, until it was about 10 feet away! Dangerous! I never did find out where the guy was that was driving, there was no one in the cab! It was a black NS Pony.
Seattle has had some SD9s in storage. When I was in Pasco, WA a few weeks ago, there were no SD9s in sight at the yard, which is odd as they have been there since nearly the BN merger in 1970.
Occasionally these will turn up in OKC. SD9's are great locomotives! (from a railfan's viewpoint, anyway!) Just as unusual as an SD9 is, this SD9 is unusual in that it's a long-hood forward loco (stripes on the long hood) and does not have dynamic brakes.
Welcome, bnsf62! BTW, BNsf 6119 was BN 6119, and GN 592, built in April 1958. It also never wore BSB paint.
