Unfortunately I've been been unable to get a response from my usual supplier by phone or email, not sure whether they are on holiday or have gone out of business. As I now need some more Fox Valley wheels I'm wondering if anyone on here can suggest an alternative supplier?

I tend to buy mostly parts like wheels and couplers and I tend to buy in small quantities as this avoids the delays and fees going through customs. This also mean I need to find someone who will ship USPS First class mail as Global priority mail is a lot more expensive and the extra cost takes it above the customs threshold.

Normally I tend to buy through Ebay at first using that to find a supplier I can work with, but it seems there are much fewer shops using there now - I know the fees have gone up a lot, have they got too expensive to use ?

I know there are a few other people on here from the UK and mainland Europe, anyone got any good recommendations?

I've tried the Advertisers on this board, but the only one I could find who will ship internationally is Internet trains and they use USPS Global priority which is no good for me.

i'm not sure of the policy on here about recommending shops - do they have to PM me rather than posting in an open board?

    Tom

    Tom,

I buy my couplings - usually Micro Train 1030 - in Multipacks, from a supplier here in UK. I'm not sure if he ships across to France, though it would do no harm to ask him.

E-mail me on seatedviper@googlemail.com, and I'll forward his details.

    Regards,

    Pete
